Narcissistic ex-boyfriend (verbal abuse and slut-shaming/kink-shaming on-page) — Ava’s boyfriend (who she then dumps) sends out a voice message to her entire contact list detailing her sexual fantasies and desires. It includes all the things she would like to try. He does this after she finally confides in him about what she is missing in their intimate times. He considers what she wants to be “deviant” and shames her for it. Some might consider this a version of “revenge porn.” Her ex is manipulative, gaslights her, and treats her poorly.

Physical violence (small amount in one scene) — Roman punches Ava’s ex-boyfriend in the face after a confrontation in Ava’s apartment building where her ex is being manipulative and terrible to her in general.

Consensual non-consent (one scene, explicit consent, safe word) — Ava wants to try CNC with Roman. She is eager to jump into her fantasies and feels safe enough with Roman to do so. It is made very clear during the scene that she is into it and enjoying it. She does not use the safe word, but it is established beforehand.

Explicit language and sexual acts — The book features curse words throughout and goes into vivid detail about sexual acts. These include PIV, oral, and anal. There is begging from Roman and Ava. There is praise/degradation from Logan. All sexual acts are consensual.

Sex without a condom — When Ava has sex with her men, they tend not to use condoms. She tells them not to. It is not a surprise to anyone.
